New Dog Running Area
Camping on the Battenkill welcomes dogs and we know that you and your owners are looking forward to having a great time camping that is why we ask that you, the dog, to follow these simple rules while camping with us.
- You must be on a leash at all times in the campground and that leash must be attached to your owner or your trailer. Loose dogs are more likely to bite a child or be bitten by another dog. Go to the dog pen and run free.
- Dogs are not allowed on the play area in the open field or the beach at the swimming area. If you want to swim have your owner take you upstream away from the beach area or downstream. Just remember that you must be on a leash when swimming.
- Any mess you make must be picked up and disposed of. Your owner will find several Dogi Pot stations near the bathroom in the field, at the swimming area, near trash area and the dog run.
- You are not to be left alone on the site, you never know when someone you don’t know walks by and you get upset leading to barking loudly or biting someone.
The campground reserves the right to limit dogs on a site so ask your friend to leave their dog home. If you are creating a disturbance you the pet will be asked to leave.
