We offer rustic, backcountry camping in the beautiful Taconic Mountains of southwestern Vermont. Cabins are fully enclosed and equipped with a wood-burning stove, wooden bunks and a nearby outhouse. Lean-to shelters and tent sites are also available. Campers hike to all campsites-1/2 mile to 21/2 miles.All sites are remotely located throughout our 3,100 acres of forest. With thirtymiles of trails for hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and horsebackriding and a 65-acre organic working farm, Merck Forest & Farmland Centeroffers a unique experience. Open year-round. Located on Route 315 in Rupert just 15 minutes northwest of Manchester.
