Big Deer State Park is within Groton State Forest, adjacent to the Nature Center, with miles of hiking, and Boulder Beach State Park, a popular park with a sandy beach on Lake Groton. There are 5 lean-to sites and 23 tent/trailer sites. Located off US Route 302, 6 miles on VT Route 232, and 1 mile east on Boulder Beach Road.
