Knight Island State Park on Lake Champlain offers a remote-area experience with just 7 walk or boat-in campsites (6 with lean-tos) around the 175-acre island. Sites are up to 1 mile from the Ranger residence, with no public water supply, and toilet facilities are primitive. You need a boat to get there.
