Maidstone State Park is in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, and Maidstone Lake (one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Vermont) is home to 25-pound lake trout, rainbow and brook trout, as well as the Common Loon. Maidstone has 45 tent/trailer sites, 37 lean-tos, restrooms, showers ($), beach and picnic shel¬ter. Located 5 miles southwest of VT Route 102 on State Forest Highway.
