Underhill State Park, halfway up the western slope of Mount Mansfield where 4 hiking trails lead to the summit and connect with the Long Trail, appeals to hikers and other mountain enthusiasts. The steep gravel road to the park campground, with 6 lean-to and 11 tent sites (walk-in up to 100 yards), is not recommended for RVs or trailers. Located about 6 miles off VT Route 15.
