How to use the website

Whether you're planning your dream vacation, developing an extensive tour through Vermont and New England, or just looking for a campground for one night, this site provides several tools for locating your ideal base camps. You can find campgrounds by amenities, by region, by name, or by map location.

Begin with the Campgrounds section:

  • Use the Amenities at a Glance charts to narrow your choices based on services provided. Campgrounds are listed alphabetically, regardless of their location in the state, and each entry provides a link to the business' corresponding full text entry.

  • If you know which area of the state you'll be traveling in, use the North, Central, and South tabs to go directly to that region's section. You can read about all the campgrounds in the area, or find one alphabetically.

  • Full descriptions of each member campground are arranged alphabetically within each section, making it easy to find businesses by name and geographical area. They include detailed information on the facilities, contact info, links to email addresses and web sites, and specific directions.

  • Articles and photographs illustrating the area's highlights begin each region's section, providing information about camping, recreation, and tourism to help you plan your trip.

Sailing near Use the Maps of Vermont, which are detailed by region, to see all the campgrounds in relation to their locations throughout the state, and then navigate to detailed listings of those that interest you.
